Last weekend we (Marissa, myself, Nana, and Unca Dayn) went to Barrie, ON for Uncle Bob's 50th birthday party. It was a four hour drive south from New Liskeard, and since Dayn just got his driver's lisence, he did most of the driving.

These first few shots are before we leave for the trip on Friday morning....

The party went pretty late for Marissa that Friday night, we tried to convince her to sleep in the "Princess Bed".... (but it was too exciting playing with the dog and eating cake and showing off.)

The rest of the weekend was spent lounging by the pool in Uncle Dan & Auntie Kathy's backyard...

Sunday afternoon we returned home to New Liskeard.

Well, it took us 17 hours, but we made it safely to New Liskeard. The trip went really well. We made it to Nana & Grandpa Kramp's house at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Marissa was able to sleep well in the car, and I'm sure that made the trip a lot shorter for her! We only had one long stop - in Sault Sainte Marie for breakfast - and it was a good chance to take a break from the car.

The next couple of pictures are Kelly and Chris showing off their trophy/t-shirt from the triathalon. Both were very pleased with their results. To see the offical results, check out this link: http://onlineraceresults.com/event/view_event.php?event_id=1141
Kelly placed 4th overall, and 1st in his age category with a time of 1:12.
Chris placed 57th overall, and 3rd in his age category with a time of 1:21.

Today Marissa and Aus the kitty played all day. (It was raining or else Marissa would have been in the lake!) They played each other out!!!

 

Grandpa Kramp has safely arrived!

Grandpa Kramp arrived from New Liskeard, ON at about 10:00 am this morning. He said he had a good 15 hour trip. He is sleeping now though!

Tomorrow morning he and Chris will go to a triatholon at 5:30 at Minnetonka Lake. (About 1/2 hr from here.) The race begins at 7:30.

Then, after an afternoon nap, Marissa and I will drive back with Grandpa to New Liskeard. We are planning to leave around 8pm. Please pray for a safe and speedy trip!

Diana graduated on May 31st from the University of Manitoba. She graduated on the Dean's Honour List with a degree in Biosystems Engineering.


Jennifer graduated on June 4th from the University of Winnipeg. She received her Bachelor of Education. She also received the University Silver Medal for the second highest standing in Education, and was the valedictorian for the ceremony.

They are both currently looking for jobs in Winnipeg.

Home again, home again...

Safely home again – arrived at 11:45pm. The trip again was very uneventful and went really well. :-)

On the road again...

Just wanted to let everyone know that we made it safely to Stonewall tonight. It was a pretty uneventful trip. Not to long either - thank goodness! ;-) We came for the weekend 'cause I have a dr. appointment tomorrow morning. We are planning on travelling back to Bloomington on Sunday.
