I've posted the pictures taken at the Grand Opening to our Kramp Chiropractic website, in the Photo Gallery.

All in all, it went really well! Things are continuing to go really well.
Marissa's Nursery Graduation is coming up on June 18th... so I'll more pictures to post soon! Marissa is now reading on her own!!! She is very excited to start going to Kindergarten, and she enjoys "working out" at the Y. (We do gymnastics there, and there is a large play structure there too.)
Kaitlyn is talking up storm - and she likes to pretend to read - whatever her sister is doing she wants to do it too!!! (Marissa is Pete, and Kaitlyn is Repeat!!) :-) She is also working on her singing quite a bit - she can carry a tune, unlike her daddy! ;-)

Clinic Update
Just wanted to let everyone know that we've updated our clinic site a bit, and have posted some renovation pictures in the Photo Gallery link on the left side of the page - www.krampchiropractic.com
We are working hard on getting the business going - thanks to Walter, Shaun and Greg for doing reno! Diana's been helping with document editing and picking out colours. So if there are any grammatical errors on the website - it's her fault! (Just kidding - thanks Diana!) :-)
And we are also moving all of our stuff out of storage into a townhouse we are renting in the Charleswood area of Winnipeg. Thanks to Mike for almost killing himself getting our stuff up all those stairs!
I am also getting Marissa registered for kindergarten. Thanks Jen for coming to the information meetings with me!! Marissa and Kaitlyn are doing very well. Kaitlyn's got all four teeth in front on the bottom now, along with two new molars on the top. Marissa loves playing outside with Pixie, but Pixie ate her mitt today, so it looks like we will have to buy a new pair!

Logo Revised...
This is our new logo. The Manitoba Chiropractor's Association did not approve of our original clinic name - Innate Health Chiropractic, so it is now officially Kramp Chiropractic.
The last month or so has been a blur. Chris passed Part C (final) of the Canadian Boards, and he passed the Manitoba jurisprudence exam, so he is now liscenced to practice in Manitoba. :-) We are currently trying to get everything set up for the grand opening of our clinic on March 3, 2008. If all goes well with the build-out we will reach this goal.
We are also setting up a website for our clinic - it's not quite up and running yet, but the address is: www.krampchiropractic.com
We will also have a monthly email newsletter that is functional, so if anyone would like to subscribe just let me know and I will set it up for you. It consists of six articles pertaining to chiropractic.
We delivered 5000 doorhangers in the Charleswood area with a postage paid postcard inside offering a special initial visit at our clinic, and a chance to win a 27" TV. We got 240 replies back which exceeded Chris' goal! We hope this will generate some new patients the first week of our grand opening. It definitely gave us an appreciation for how much 5000 is - and a reminder of what Winnipeg winters are like! Some of those days of walking door to door were pretty cold!!! The family who won the TV were quite excited to get it, and they needed a new one, so we were glad it was a blessing to them.
Right now we are house-sitting for some friends out in the rural area of Elie. Our stay here has been great - but the blowing snow is a bit of a problem. Chris has been out snowblowing the driveway for 4 hours, and expects to have to do it again tomorrow morning!! There are some places where the snow is almost taller than he is! We are also dog-sitting Pixie. Marissa loves to go out and play with her - until Pixie steals her mit or scarf! - and really wants a dog of her own. She and Kaitlyn enjoy playing together and our days are quite busy. We are planning on moving back into the city (Winnipeg) in March, and have everything set up to begin renting a townhouse in the Roblin Oaks complex. We will have to register Marissa for Kindergarten pretty soon!!! She is excited to go back to school, and really misses it.
Anyway, I need to do some more work for the clinic. I hope to post some pictures soon - we can only get dial-up internet out here in Elie, so the speed issue is a little frustrating! ;-)

The Kramp gals are in Winnipeg
We made it safe and sound after travelling all day!! Chris is driving to Winnipeg soon and hopes to arrive Tuesday. Our drive to Toronto went really well (in our "new" van), and the flight to Winnipeg went well too. It is hard for Kaitlyn to sit still though! :-)

We got the van!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, we got the van today finally! We got the call that it was ready at about 5pm and they delivered it about an hour later. We are extremely happy and will post a picture of it in the near future.

Rear-Ended
Well, the protege seems to be a write off. We'll find out in a few days I'm sure but I (Chris) got into an accident today. I was driving when a suv beside me started to brake for a dog and it bolted in front of me (the dog that is) and I braked (gut reaction). The suv behind me said that they were looking at the suv beside me braking, and she hit me.....pretty hard. I'm not sure if she even hit her brakes so she was going pretty well near 80km/hr. The mazda has been good to us and the amazing thing was that the suv had more damage then we did, which was a good thing because Kaitlyn was in the back seat and she was unharmed, scared, but unharmed. I've got a bit of whiplash and my back is sore. Thankfully, I know a chiropractor! Anyway, hopefully we'll get a decent settlement for the car and we'll be able to buy a nice used car to replace this one. I think that is all for now.

Pictures: Marissa's 1st Day of School!!!
My baby is off to school today!! It feels very weird not having her here right now... She is starting her first day of JK (junior kindergarten) which runs all day every day! She is going to Kerns Public School (about 20min away from Chris' dad's house). Marissa's great-great Grandpa - Morley Kramp - was a founding board member of this school.
So she catches a bus at 7:50am, and it will bring her back around 4:15pm. We visited the school and met her teacher - Mrs. Sadler - last week, and she was very excited to go. It is a small country school, so her class is a JK, SK and Grade 1 combined class.
Here is a website for the area: http://www.harley.ca/kerns/index.html
Here is a map showing the school: http://www.harley.ca/kerns/map-roads-print.gif
(our house is not on this map, we are off the bottom of it along Hwy 65)

Chris' Wakeboarding Misadventure - slideshow
We were visiting with Chris' family at a lake near Kirkland Lake, ON when Chris decided to try wakeboarding. His first time out went pretty well, but on Aug 24 when he tried it for the second time he fell and broke his foot! He is doing well now, just getting used to getting around with crutches. His foot will be in a cast for 5 weeks...
Oh, yes, because I haven't posted in a while, we are now in New Liskeard, ON until early November. Chris is completing his final term of chiropractic college at his dad's practice here in New Liskeard. He will graduate this November.

Move Complete!
We have successfully moved all our stuff from our Bloomington apartment to a storage facility in Winnipeg. The drive today went very well - we left at about 9 am and arrived in Winnipeg at 7:30 pm. We were held up at the border for only about 5 min.
A very special thank you to Travis & Lisa, Mat and Tye for helping us load the Uhaul last night!!! And a big thank you to the Kelly family for watching the girls yesterday while we packed!!! And another huge thank you to Dave Friesen for driving from Winnipeg on Thursday to our apartment to help with everything and for driving back with us today. We couldn't have done it without all of you! God has blessed us with great friends!!!
And another big thank you to all the guys that are currently unloading the Uhaul at the storage facility! I don't know who you are yet, but I will mention you later....
Right now I have to put my two tired girls to bed.... ;-)

Kaitlyn's First Tooth!!
Kaitlyn finally got her first tooth yesterday! :-)
You could see the two top and two bottom teeth just about poking through for more than a month now, but finally the bottom-right-one won the race and emerged first!
Both girls are doing really well, and are really enjoying swimming in the pool.
Kaitlyn is also quite the creeper. She refuses to actually crawl (similar to Marissa), but can get around a room in her own way. She definitely would prefer to walk, and is mastering the art of walking around the furniture.
We started her on solids at 7 mths, and quickly discovered after a week that she would prefer to feed herself. So we stopped the baby food and give her finger food instead - cheerios, peas, sweet potatoes, carrots, strawberries, blueberries, green beans, zucchini, oranges being among her favourites. The last couple of days she has developed more of a taste (and attitude!) as I discovered that she doesn't enjoy peaches - she made a cute screwed up face and then spit it out with a big raspberry! (sticking her tongue out and blowing)
Marissa is enjoying Kaitlyn's new mobility as this makes her more fun to play with. They really do play well together. (Keeping my fingers crossed!) ;-)

Slideshow: Izaty's Golf Getaway
From May 19th to 21st, Mike, Kristi, Chris and I went to Izaty's Golf Retreat located 1.5 hours north of the Twin Cities. Nana flew in from ON to look after the girls for us - thanks Nana!! Chris won the trip in a draw at a Norwestern Health Sciences University event. Included were lodging in a beach villa, meals and unlimited golf at the two courses located there.
We all had a great time - it was just a little cold on Sunday. That was the day Kristi and I decided to "caddy" for the boys for their morning round of golf. We should have gotten a picture of us! We bought sweatshirts from the golf shop and wrapped ourselves up in blankets while driving the carts. We had some good laughs at Chris constantly losing balls, and Mike almost hitting a SUV.
The boys tried their luck at the Grand Casino on Sunday night - a half hour drive away - but that didn't go so well! Kristi and I window shopped so we would be prepared if they did score big! ;-) Ah well, maybe next time!
