It is a beautiful day today! It is +20 (C) and the sun is shining and there is very little wind. We had a potluck today after church with our small group, so we decided to eat outside. Everybody had a good time and the food was delicious! It was nice to be outside in short-sleeves and sandals. Marissa enjoyed playing on the play structure in the church's yard. This included: swinging on the swing with Mom, swinging on the swing and tire swing by herself, playing with the rocks on the ground.
My contribution was bite-sized brownies (made in my new mini-muffin pan), dubbed "Brownettes". Marissa calls them cookies and really likes them. She doesn't like all sweet things, but she likes chocolate! If anybody would like the recipe just let me know...
We got up early this morning, and before getting ready for church we rollerbladed to another play structure located in the Hyland Park Preserve close to our house. It was my first time rollerblading on hills, and I'm proud to say that I made it there and back without any help. I only scared Marissa a couple of times by going to fast down a hill. Most of the time though she was saying "Weeeeee." She liked to watch Chris rollerblade too. The play structure was really neat - and large. Marissa enjoyed going down the slides with her dad. One of the slides they went down generated a lot of static electricty which shocked Chris' toes. It sounded so funny! "Snap" - "Ow!" - "Snap" - "Ow!" all the way down, and Marissa laughed! We will definitely have to go there again before we leave for Winnipeg.
Well Marissa is napping right now, but is sure to wake up soon, so that's all for now!
