Veggie Mania

Marissa LOVES VeggieTales. For those of you not in the loop, VeggieTales is a cartoon starring veggies such as Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato. Their motto is "Sunday morning values, Saturday morning fun."

We have two DVD's - A Snoodle's Tale, and Little Joe. We watch these two DVD's practically everyday - and sometimes twice! Her favourite of the two is Little Joe. When she wants to watch it, she starts to sing her favourite song,

"Jooooeeeee, do, do, do, do," as she wiggles her hips with a huge smile on her face.

Thankfully they are only 30 min long. (We have the Jonah movie too, but this is almost 2 hrs, and she gets bored of it quickly.) But you know it is quality stuff when I still smile at parts of the show.

She gets so excited when she sees the BigIdea logo appear on the screen and starts saying, "VeggieTales". Then when Larry appears she points and says, "Larry!" Then she dances to the theme song. (It's quite catchy, and I now know all the words!) I am sometimes able to do some chores while she watches it, but she likes it best when you watch it with her.

She also has a couple of VeggieTales CD's. One from Jen & Di, and the other from Jess & Dave. One she listens to before nap time, and the other one she likes to dance with you as she listens. Her idea of dancing with you is for you to carry her and bop around the living room. Spins are good too. It's actually quite a workout by the fifth or sixth song!
